2 Year Anniversary!

I can't believe we have already been married two years! Time goes by so quickly. So many things have happened since we have been together. I can honestly say it has been the best two years of my life. I am so lucky to be able to spend forever with my best friend.

We got married on the same weekend as Presidents Day, which is pretty convenient, because Rhett is a school teacher so we will always have that day off. We celebrated our anniversary in the city that we got engaged, Las Vegas.

We got engaged at the top of the Paris Hotel in Las Vegas.

Before we got dinner we went to Target to get each other robes. We both wanted lounging robes, but when we got there we got distracted with other things. I didn't like what I was wearing so I checked out the maternity section, and found a super cute striped dress! I wore the dress out of the store. :) Rhett loves Legos so we found a Hobbit set that was on Clearance! Which if you buy Legos, you know they are never on sale. We nixed the robe idea, and instead I got the dress and Rhett got some Legos. Happy Anniversary to us!

Dinner:  When we got engaged we ate at the Grand Lux Cafe in the Venetian, so we celebrated by eating there again. The food was delicious. Rhett ordered a lemon pasta dish (which was huge!), and I ordered a ginormous cobb salad that was amazing! We ended with strawberry shortcake for dessert. We met these adorable ladies sitting next to us at dinner who were here for the market. We chatted with them for a bit after dinner, and they congratulated us on our Anniversary.

After dinner we headed to the show. We got Cirque Du Soleil tickets for "O". It was amazing! The stage is a large pool that opens and closes. They had fire dancers, acrobatics, high divers, gymnasts, and really random stuff. There really isn't a good way of saying it, they just had random things coming out of nowhere. For example; a baby crying in the music, or a jack in the box on stage. It was kinda weird, but the show was pretty amazing! We had a really fun time!

When we got home from the show I had a little surprise for Rhett. Secretly I had my friend Charlene from school set up a romantic room in our apartment with candles, hearts, and champagne glasses. Since the show tickets were kind of expensive we had decided not to do the hotel room. So, instead of a hotel I asked Charlene to decorate while we were gone. It was way fun, and Rhett was totally surprised! I'm not good at keeping a secret so I was pretty proud of myself, and ever so grateful for my friend Charlene!

The next day was Presidents Day. We had the day off so we made breakfast, and had an all day marathon of Downton Abbey... We are obsessed. We love the show so much!

We had a fabulous Anniversary, and I can't wait to spend many more years together!

Pregnancy Update 26- 31 Weeks

After we got back from Christmas Break we hit the 100 days left mark. It was a beautiful day here in Vegas. We of course documented the occasion.

Don't mind the shadow behind my bum. It looks funny!

100 days to go on January 5, 2014

26 Weeks
(Sometimes I feel a little silly taking these pictures of myself, but I am thankful I have them for memory.)

28 Weeks

29 Weeks

30 Weeks

31 weeks

How far along- 31 weeks + 2 days

Baby is the size of- a head of lettuce

Symptoms- Throughout my whole pregnancy I have constantly had nose congestion and bloody noses. My lower back and tailbone have been hurting lately, mostly if I am on my feet too long. My eyes and lips get dried out really quickly if I don't drink water or have my chap stick. I am exhausted at the end of the day, but still feeling pretty great!

Food cravings- Still nothing in particular anymore. I am just thankful I am able to cook what we have in the cupboard and eat it!

Movement- He is a pretty active little boy. Mostly at night and right after I eat. He rolls around, and kicks mostly on the right side of my stomach. He gets hiccups sometimes. I can't wait to meet this little guy and his personality.

Fun moments- I love when Rhett gets to feel him move. He gets so excited, and then talks to my stomach. It is pretty much the most romantic/sweetest thing ever. There is something so special when you get to share something so sweet with the person you love most. Between Rhett and I this baby will be loved so much.

Laughing in bed- Rhett was trying to take a picture of me. I wasn't looking so good...

Sometimes I get scared if I will be a good parent, if I will be able to teach him what he needs to know. Seems like just yesterday I was a little kid, watching my Mom and Dad so closely and loving them so much. The years really do fly by, and now I am here at the point in my life where I am going to be a parent. Rhett and I both had such good examples of parents who loved us, and would do anything for us. I wonder how we got so lucky.

Mom and I

Baby Jenn

I sometimes wonder what Rhett and I would be doing if we didn't have a kid on the way. If we would be planning our next travel adventure, or buying a shiny new something. There is so much to see and do, but I know there will be lots of things to see and do once the baby comes. It can be stressful planning for the future, and its hard to find a good balance of not being too stressed. They say it is all worth it in the end!!

I find that sometimes all I need to do is just breathe and let God guide us. Having faith in what he has planned for us, and knowing everything will work out.

This is what my bedside looks like as of late. I gotta have my lotions, scriptures, watch, water bottle, Tylenol, hair ties, tissue (not pictured), and chap stick.

There are so many things that I need to do to get ready for baby, and I just have 9 weeks left. It is gonna be a busy 9 weeks. Life is gonna change for good, and I'm not sure anyone can be completely prepared for what is ahead with a new born. Luckily I have my sweet husband, and my mom, who will be there for the first week and a half after the baby is born.

When life gets too stressful, I just hug my hubby and literally everything feels so much better. He is a huge strength to me, and even when I am irritable and moody he is always so sweet to me. I really married the best man in the whole world. He scratches my back every night without fail, and will always try to make me feel as comfortable as possible. He is truly my best friend.

Let the 9 week countdown begin!!!

Christmas Break 2013

The day after Christmas everyone headed through the woods to Grandmother's house. Matt and Keri and Jeremy and Giselle all headed over. Before everyone got there Mom and I went on a fun little shopping trip for maternity outfits. We were hoping to catch the day after Christmas sales, but didn't really seem to get many sales! Anyway, I found some cute shirts that I love! I wore the striped one to my baby shower. It was fun to hang out with my Mom, and just go shopping. I wished we lived closer so we could do it more often!! Someday! After the shopping trip we got home, and Jeremy and Giselle showed up shortly after. It is always fun to see them after a long time away.

On Friday Jon and Autumn joined us for Owen and Logan's baptism.

It is amazing how fast 8 years flies by. I remember when these two were little babes, and I would just hold them and cuddle them.

The baptism was held on the 27th of December, and many people were able to attend. We had everyone there from our family except for Jeff and Sarah. It was a really special evening.

Saturday 28th- That day was my baby shower which was so fun!  My friends Angie, Yvette, and Andrea put it on for me with the help of my little sister Melody. We had such a fun time, and many of my friends came to help me celebrate!! The boys all went to Mark and Hailey's house while we were having our girls party.

Rhett and I after the baby shower feeling so grateful!

On Sunday we all went to church together. Matthew, Keri, Jon, Autumn, Mom, Dad, Melody, Rhett, Me, and all the little ones. We had a lovely dinner afterwards and then bid farewell to Jon, Autumn, and kids.

All the other kids were off playing. This little one here was easy to capture and take pictures!

Rhett and Colin became best buds.

That evening we watched a cool documentary called The New York Doll about a rock and roll star that joined the church. While we watched the documentary Mom was holding sleeping Colin.

Monday- We all hung out for one last day before Rhett and I took off to go back to Vegas. That night we went to go see the Caldwell lights. They really do an amazing job, and it is so beautiful to see! Oh and the weather is freezing, but we all bundled up.

Tuesday 31st- Mom and Dad made us an amazing yummy breakfast before we headed off. We packed our things, and said our goodbyes. Of course I am a big ball baby and cried. It is hard to leave my family, but I will see them soon! We had a great Christmas break at home!

New Years Eve- After we left Mom and Dad's we headed to Utah to make a pit stop at our friend's Laura and Tyler's. We got there around 7pm, and headed to our favorite sushi place ( No, I did not eat any of the raw stuff). We were so stuffed by the time we were done, but it was oh so good! We rang in the New Year that night playing phase ten, toasting with Martinelli's, and watching the ball drop! Oh, and I got a steamy kiss from my hubby! It was a fun New Years!

2013 was a great year for us, and we have seen many blessings in our lives! We are excited to see what 2014 has in store for us!
