Wedding pic Redos

So for our one year anniversary I decided to retake some of our wedding pictures. I decided to redo them, because I wasn't quite satisfied with the ones we took for our wedding. It was fun to get all dressed up again, and in a way kind of reenact our wedding day. As we were driving to the Mt. Timpanogos Temple we got a lot of honks, and thumbs up on the freeway. It was kind of funny. Even at the Temple people were giving us congratulations. We did the pictures at 8am so that we could be the only ones to take pictures before the rush of bride and grooms came out. We had perfect lighting, and it was pretty much just us! After we took the pictures we got home, and got ready for our trip to Moab with our friends. It was a pretty busy, tiring, but fun day! Kinda like or wedding! :)

All stuffed up in the car. :)

Mr. and Mrs

Fun to be a bride again!!

Love these ones :)

I am so glad that we did this! It was worth every penny, and I am so happy with the pictures!! ShannaMichellephotography did all the pictures, and she is incredible! I just love her!!!

More on Moab

We had a super fun weekend with our friends (Stephanie, Jacob, Tania, and Rex) in Moab. We took our second wedding pictures in the morning, and then we headed out in Rex's parent's mini van. It was our kick off the summer trip! We got to Moab around 2:30pm, and staked out our campsite behind a trailer park. We were a little skeptical at first, but Rex had camped there many times before. (It turned out to be really perfect). We wanted to hike delicate arch around sunset so we could get cool pictures, so we decided to hike the other arches first. We first saw balance rock, window arch, double arch, landscape arch, and then finally delicate arch. It was very breathtakingly beautiful, and a very fun thing to see in person. We all had a fun time  hiking and talking.

When we got back into the city of Moab, we were all starving so we decided to eat at a really fun place called Pasta Jay's. I ordered a delicious fettuccine dish with a creamy red sauce, broccoli, mushrooms, chicken, artichoke, and peas. It was absolutely delicious. Rhett ordered a white clam pasta in a delicious clam sauce. We all shared their famous spinach artichoke dip! So gooood!

After dinner we had Smores and roasted Starbursts around the campfire. Stayed up late talking and laughing. In the morning we had bagels for breakfast, and played games till about 1pm. We headed out stopping by subway, and then trying Moab Brewery's famous Gelato. It was pretty yummy. On our way heading back to Orem we decided to go see Goblin Valley. It was the perfect weather to go see it. We hiked our way through, climbing and jumping all over the sandstone. Goblin Valley is the perfect place for a kid to play house, and let their imagination run wild!! We had lots of fun picking out different shapes in the rocks!

After Goblin Valley we headed home, and played name that Celebrity for at least an hour and a half! We had a great time, and it was way fun to kick off the summer with great friends and a new adventurous place!!

Just wanted to post pics. Write more about Moab Later!

Manti Wedding

So On April 27, 2013 my cousin Jennifer Richardson got married in the Manti Temple. I was so excited, because I had never been to that temple. We drove down with my Mom, Dad, Melody, and Grandma in the Van. We had to get up super early to make it to the 9:00am wedding!!( It is an hour and a half drive from Orem) It was a beautiful day, and it was fun to get to be inside the temple. That is where Jennifer Richardson's parents got married. After the sealing, we were able to go see the spiral staircase in the temple. It was absolutely beautiful. There were so many beautiful details in the temple like; the crown molding, and the details on the doors. So much time and effort to make it such a beautiful place. I felt so lucky that I was able to be in there with my sweet hunny, and family. Families are forever!

After the temple, Rhett and I took Melody to kneaders and had lunch. (she bought us lunch, which was kind of fun) She sat in the front seat of the car, and rocked out with Rhett to his music. It was fun to see her be so happy. Melody and Rhett get a long so well, I love that he is so good to her. Every once in awhile she would stop rocking out to the music, and text her boyfriend Andrew. Not really sure how I feel about her having a boyfriend, but she giggles and thinks its fun. We had the windows rolled down, and occasionally Melody would stick her hand out the window, and move her arm up and down like a roller coaster. It was so fun to spend time with her. I love my sister so much, she has been such an angel in my life.

Rhett's Graduation

My sweet Rhett has graduated! He officially has his degree from Utah Valley University in History Education! I am so extremely proud of him. He has worked so hard, and graduated with a 3.8 GPA!!! He decided not to walk in graduation, because he wants to walk when he graduates with his masters. So that is why in the pictures he doesn't have his cords or tassel, but he is wearing his Magna Cum Lade medal for his amazing GPA!!!! Graduation was held April 26, 2013. So proud of him!!

Finally School is out for the SUMMER!!!!

So.... hey folks, sorry for the delay. It has been quite the busy semester with Rhett doing student teaching, and I with my double math class worth 8 credits!! So I will try to summarize the last few months as best as I can while I have the time now.

For Christmas we got to spend time in Arizona with Rhett's family, and we had a great time! It was so fun to be with them, and have Christmas! Denise (Rhett's mom) played a great hostess. She always kept us busy, we saw the Hobbit with Matt, which we all loved, and talked about the rest of the trip! We (Julia, Matt, Denise, Rhett, and I) went to the children's museum in Pheonix with Lincoln and little Grace, which was really fun to see them play with all the fun things. We picked up Kirk, and Lindsay from the airport because they were on their way to Mexico for a house building trip. All of us went to go see some ruins on the Indian reservation, which was pretty cool. We played lots of dominoes, ate good food, and got to snuggle watching movies. We had a really great time! At the end of our trip Jeff and Sarah came to Chandler to see us. We all went out to dinner, and then went to see the Temple lights in Mesa. It was way fun to see little Delsie and Ross. They are so cute! Arizona is a lot warmer than Utah, and it was nice to have the break!

Mesa Temple lights. So cool!

                                                             Keeping Baby Ross warm!!

We also got to see some of my good friends Kylie and Julie. It was fun to see them after such a long time!! Love my friends :)

We came home on New Years Eve to a very cold Orem, Utah. Both of us were coming down with a cold or something so we decided to stay in and watch, "It's a Wonderful Life". Rhett got me the blue ray version of it for Christmas. It is one of my favorite movies ever. We stopped the movie right before Midnight, and rang in the New Year with Ryan Seacrest, some sparkling apple cider, and a little slow dancing in our freezing living room. 2012 was a good year to us, the best part of all was getting married in February. :)

                                                          Utah Weather gotta love it.

We had a couple of days to just veg out before school started, and that is exactly what we did except we did go to the gym which is one of our New Years resolutions this year. We decided that resolution because of how much we ate over Christmas, that we needed to get back in shape, so one of our goals was to go to the gym 3 times a week to stay healthy. So far we have kept that goal, except for one week! I think we are doing pretty good so far.

The next few months are kind of a blur with school. Rhett decided that we should take a scuba class together, because he has wanted to take one since he started at UVU, but never had the time. So I reluctantly joined the class for him during the freezing months of January and February. Each Thursday, I would complain about the freezing weather, and not wanting to go to the scuba class. Rhett was a trooper, and put up with all of my complaining. Overall, the class was an interesting experience. We had a Russian Instructor, who was kind of scary if you were doing something wrong.

Well, that terrifying day came where we had to clear our goggles under 12 ft. of water. While I was in the deep end, "the Russian" came over to ask me to clear my mask. I took my mask off, and then attempted to put it back on and clear out the water. During this task, I panicked and tried to flee to the surface of the pool. Something was holding me down, which made me panic even more. "The Russian" was pushing down on my shoulder to keep me under water.  He calmed me down, and motioned underwater to breath deeply. I could still breath because I had my regulator in my mouth. We slowly surfaced to the top, and he told me why he held me down. Apparently it is dangerous to surface too quickly while scuba diving. Anyway long story short scuba diving and I are not friends. I finished the class, but I did not want to certify. (I probably would not be the best scuba buddy) Rhett got certified, and can now scuba dive where ever he wants.

The scuba class ended in February just before our ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY!! We had a great time, and Rhett is the most romantic guy I have ever known. First We had dinner at Caraba's restaurant, and then went to Hine's mansion bed and breakfast. Rhett blind folded me so I wouldn't know we were going to Hine's mansion. We stayed there for our wedding night, so it was special that we went there for our Anniversary. For our gifts Rhett typed out 365 reasons why he loved me, and some memories that we had shared throughout our first year. It made me cry, and was one of the sweetest things anyone has ever done for me. It was so special. My present wasn't as romantic, but he loves Lego's so I got him some Hobbit themed Lego's, and a bunch of candy! He loved it. We ate candy, watched movies, and snuggled. The next day we went and saw the movie Impossible about the Tsunami in Thailand, after the movie we  got a couples massage, thanks to Rhett's mom's Christmas present. It was a super fun Anniversary!

Rhett Sleeping in the Car waiting for our couples massage. He is so handsome. :)

One Year together!!! Best year of my life!

March came around like a whirlwind, and it was time to Celebrate my 25th birthday!!! My spring break was around my birthday so I decided to go home to Idaho for the weekend, and spend some time with my family back home. I was sad to leave Rhett on my Birthday, but excited to hang with my mom, dad, and sister, and have some mother/daughter time. Sunday I got to see Melody in her institute concert. She was super cute, and did a great job. Monday, my mom and I went to the Chiropractor, and then had lunch at the Acapolco Grill which I love! Their salsa is super yummy! Tuesday we went to the gym, and did the treadmill while we watched Melody swim for her special Olympics practice. My mom made an amazing Carne Asada dinner that night. We spent like 4 hours getting the marinade just right which was really funny. We had gone and bought these dried peppers that were suppose to go into the marinade. Luckily I tried one, because my mouth was about to burn off! It was so hot! We ended up not putting the peppers in ;) Wednesday was my Birthday! Rhett called me at 12am to wish me happy birthday, and be the first one. In love. Melody and mom brought me breakfast in bed with all the fixins, and it was delicious! I got to hang out in my pajamas all day, and it was awesome! That night I had a lot of my friends from home come over, and celebrate with me! It was a great day!

Thursday, we had a shopping spree! My mom and I both found a cute outfit, and even bought the same shirt! Like mother like daughter :) Friday my mom made a delicious salmon dinner. She makes the best food! Saturday it was time to leave, and go home to see my hubby!!! I had an amazing time with my family, and it was fun to have the week, but sometimes a week just isn't long enough to be with them!

So this is what I came home to....

Once again my amazing husband is so sweet!! I came home from my trip to Idaho with my husband standing in the doorway with a suit and tie on, holding roses, and the apartment was completely spotless! He had cleaned everything, and when I came into the bedroom there were roses on the bed. So sweet, I had no idea! He is so good at surprises, and doing such romantic things for me! I love him so much!

So lately we have been really into doing puzzles. Its a nice past time when the weather is too cold to go outside. It's been fun, sometimes we will just be passing by, and see a piece that will work then get caught up in it, and 2 hours have past by while working on the puzzle. I think I got a bad kink in my neck from doing them though, because I had a kink in my neck that lasted a week and a half! It was horrible!

Rhett got me this puzzle for Christmas, because I love Audrey Hepburn. It was a hard puzzle!!! Finished February 2013.

                                                               Finished April 2013

General Conference Puzzle Finished April 2013

On April 9th, Rhett celebrated his 26th birthday! I unfortunately had to work that night, so we decided to celebrate it on the weekend. We reserved a table at Sushi ya, and had lots of our friends come celebrate with us! It was very fun! Afterwards we went to Christy and Drew Fosse's house to play the newlywed game. It was hilarious, and we got to know a little bit more about our friends! ;) I think overall he had a pretty great birthday!

Oh I got my hair cut after almost a solid year of not doing anything to it! It feels so healthy and strong! I just love it!

Date Night!!!

It has been a crazy year so far, and I hope it gets crazier! Rhett Graduates this Friday with his bachelors in History Education, and I am so proud of him! He has worked so hard! This summer we have planned a senior trip for him to Washington DC with my parents, and are super stoked! I have never been to DC so I can't wait! Fun things ahead!!! Hopefully it is not months till the next post!!!
